Background to TKI
Tujue Katiba Initiative
was conceived in 2010, midwifed
and delivered through diverse opportunities presented by the Constitution of
2010, yearning community, purposes of preparing for the general election,
Matters of Governance and beyond the General elections and by the year 2011, Tujue
Katiba Initiative idea Since its inception and birth, has never before looked
back on its dedications. Tujue Katiba Initiative remains dedicated to
Constitutionalism, Policy Issues, and Leadership Development.
Tujue Katiba initiative is
currently registered as a Community and is Located in Mashimoni Areas of Kibera.
Our Mission
Tujue Katiba Initiative Strives to be one of the Leading Kenya’s Institutions for Constitutional Democracy, policy issues and Leadership Development.
Our Purpose and Objectives
There serves as our Core Objectives:
- To Institutionalize Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law in Kenya
- To Influence Policy both at the County and the National Levels
- To mentor, Link and Expose to Opportunities Civic Leaders for the Nation of Kenya

through Michael Orwa- Trainings on Governance and Schools Programs

Through the Director-Dickson Toli to Facilitate Student Katiba/ Leadership
Symposiums.

2012-2015 Through Ramogi Osewe in Reaching out to more Governance Partners who
are soon to join in Tujue Katiba Initiatives List Of Partners

2012-2013 Programs to Educate the Masses on Issues of Elections and Peace.

Umande
Trust- 2012-2013 Sponsoring of two Peace Events; Religious
Leaders Peace Forum which was curried on in the month of November 2012 and
Students Peace Symposium held on the month of February, 2013 which saw over 250
Students Prefects being send forth with a massage of peace to their schools

Secondary
Schools in Kibera- 2011-2013 the Principles of the Secondary
Schools giving constant opportunities to the Tujue Katiba Initiative’s Team in
to their schools fro the matters of Leadership and Constitutionalism.

RIPLE- 2013
the Group of Young Lawyers who have Made and Agreement with Tujue Katiba
Initiative to concurrently run programs on Leadership Development, Legal Aid
Programs, and Citizens Civic Engagements
Programs for the Next one Year which is Renewable Annually.

Students Leaders Peace Symposium and Youth and Election Forum.

Signed a Mou with RIPLE on Leadership
Development, Legal Aid Programs, and Citizens Civic Engagements Programs.

Expanded the School Weekly programs from
Kibera Constituency to Dagoreti Constituency.

Distributed 300 Voter Education Materials
from IEBC and Africog, at The Door Christian Fellowship Church Voter/ Peace
Forum.

Gave Awards during the Students Peace
Symposium to Solo 7; a Man who Single Handed has Preached Peace in writing o n
walls for over Six Years.

to the residents of Kibera. Cutting across all the 12 Villages of Kibera.
